Pet store inventory that understands bag sizes and flavours

One product, many sizes and flavours. Barcode labels, purchase orders from suppliers, low-stock alerts and bulk import from a spreadsheet.

How a pet catalogue maps to variations

Variations keep the shelf tidy in the software: one product page, many sellable options, each with its own barcode, price and stock.

Stock count without closing the store

A practical routine for a weekly or monthly count.

  1. 1Count one category at a time
Food this week, aquatics next — not the whole store at once.
  2. 2Use stock adjustment
Record differences with a reason: damaged, expired, theft, count error.
  3. 3Check lots while you count
Compare the expiry report with what is actually on the shelf.
  4. 4Review the adjustment report
Repeated losses on one product point to a shelving or theft problem.

Pet store inventory: questions

How many products can I have?

There is no product limit on any plan. Stores with 5,000+ SKUs import them from a CSV file.

Can I sell bulk food by weight?

Yes. Weighed products work with a compatible scale or by entering the weight, and the price is calculated per kg or lb.

Can I buy by the case and sell by the can?

Yes. Units and sub-units let you purchase a case of 24 and sell single cans, with stock kept correctly.

Does it print barcode labels?

Yes. Print barcode and shelf labels on a standard label printer, with the price and product name.

Can I raise purchase orders to suppliers?

Yes. Create purchase orders per supplier, then receive them — recording lot numbers and expiry dates as you do.

Does it warn me about low stock?

Yes. Set an alert quantity per product; the low-stock report and dashboard show what needs reordering, including stock already promised to repeat orders.

Can I import products from my current POS?

Yes. Export a CSV from your current system and import it. The onboarding team maps the columns with you for free. See switching.

Can I sell live animals?

You can sell live fish, birds or reptiles as products. Local animal-welfare and licensing rules are your store’s responsibility.
